Capturing Thule's Motion 3 Roofbox: A Dual-Season Adventure

In a challenging and exhilarating project, I spent 10 days in the summer and 5 days in the winter, braving temperatures below -20 Celsius, to photograph Thule’s new Motion 3 roofbox. The shoot took place across stunning locations in Norway, Copenhagen, Malmö, and Ramundberget, with a dedicated crew of 30 people.

The summer shoot was filled with vibrant landscapes, capturing the Motion 3 roofbox against the lush greenery and bustling urban scenes. From the scenic fjords of Norway to the charming streets of Copenhagen and Malmö, the images highlighted the roofbox’s sleek design and practicality for summer adventures. The warm weather allowed us to showcase the Motion 3’s versatility and ease of use in various settings, from family trips to outdoor escapades.

Winter presented a different set of challenges and beauty. In Ramundberget, with temperatures plunging below -20 Celsius, we captured the Motion 3 roofbox amidst snow-covered landscapes and icy terrains. The harsh conditions tested the roofbox’s durability and performance, and the images reflect its robust construction and reliability in extreme weather. The snow-clad mountains and frozen lakes provided a dramatic backdrop, emphasizing the Motion 3’s capability to withstand and thrive in winter’s harshest elements.

Throughout both shoots, our crew of 30 people worked tirelessly to ensure every shot conveyed the essence of Thule’s commitment to quality and adventure. The combined effort and expertise of the team were crucial in navigating the diverse challenges presented by the different seasons and locations.

This dual-season project not only showcased the Thule Motion 3 roofbox’s features and durability but also celebrated the spirit of exploration and adaptability. The resulting images inspire confidence in the Motion 3’s ability to enhance any journey, regardless of the season or conditions.
